That was Piret ... I was watching- she was up on the cam support and jumped into the nest. I think there might have been an intruder around.

Piret stuffed the chicks as much as possible, but slurped up this long red thing (gut?) herself

For nancy, edit: the intestines (gut) is darker . This looks like the spawn organ, but I'm not sure it is.
