Now that you mention it, it does look empty, and there hasn't been anything in it for some time now. Elo has been so patient today, I hope there is a fish soon.

The way they show up together seems to indicate that before they migrate they are still seeing each other as family, although they are also clearly competitors.
(So it was you maertha. Nancy said "Spot" was her doing and I did not remember that -- it is interesting how some names -- like Nori seem to work -- for me that means that they seem easily pronounceable -- and when they work for lots of us it means people with different language back grounds can say them -- and in my mind at least, gender neutral.)

I saw an osprey -- Madis or not -- fly past the nest but there was no delivery. They seem disappointed. I wonder if Madis lost his fish.
They seem to know when a delivery is coming, but maybe the nest is also useful because it is high and they can see what is happening?
