Thank You, Urmas
Do you have any history for that nest?
It is beautiful, I hope some ospreys will use it.

Thank you Urmas. I saw too that an osprey had brought some sticks here. But is it not too late in the season for nesting now ? Maybe they are prospecting the nest for next year ?

I discovered an osprey sitting by the unused Latvian nest. Over the past days more & more branches have appeared in the nest, so the osprey is decorating it, but not using it to raise a family.
Preening.

20:37 (perhaps 21:37) I met an osprey sitting on a branch on the left side
When we have 20:37 in Germany the pictures of Looduskalender normally have 21:37. I dont know where the nest is and for that i dont know the time there. But I am happy I had luck looking to this nest and meeting a bird

You saw it, too, Bleggi. Wonderful! It was back again at dawn, but I did not make a picture. It seems to like that high lookout place.

Kalakotkas2 is situated in Estonia, about 4 km of kalakotkas.
Initially we thought it to be main Osprey cam for Estonian part of ESTLAT project, but the eagles decided in other way. The pair there in territory, they build up other nest about 400m away and did not prefer our camera nest (though it is much higher).
At the moment I don't know if the branches are brought to nest by the same male of nearby occupied nest or is there additional individual sometimes visiting kalakotkas2 camera nest?

I met one of this guys who was just eating on the branch and then left again - I thought it some time ago: they only sit there for resting a bit and then looking for food for the mother in the nest and perhaps also for the babies, that are there, too.
The pictures are from just some minutes ago:

Because this page is not so active,maybe I can post this news here ?
After a severe storm in Wales,the ospreys chicks were in real danger,from hunger and cold...with 24 hrs of rain;
I will add that I commented there to the osprey team that I would support their action (probably criticised by the 'Authorities' & without the proper permit.)

What a suspenseful story, Macdoum. I am glad they went to save the little osprey. And in such awful weather! They are very brave. The pics of the flooding & the videos were impressive.
