I check this cam once in a while & could see there had been new branches & lichens added to it over time. Once in a while early in summer, I saw an osprey here on the branch eating. Great to see that interest in the nest is high & perhaps there will be a mated couple here next spring. Thanks for all the photos & videos, Fleur!

Fleur, here is part of an e-mail I had from Urmas this morning - it may help tp explain this visitor!

PS Piret is preparing to migration and moves quite a lot, like Erika (who we follow for sixth year). Yesterday and day before she visited neighbours, at least those two nests we know in distance 5 (kalakotkas2) and 24 km of current nest.

Jo: Thank you for info
I wonder how often this Osprey comes back, or will still be around.
Do you know or Urmas, Piret and Erica wearing rings?

I think this osprey has no ring, I'm not sure.

Fleur, Piret has a ring, her number is "S0". I am not sure about Erkia, but both females have transmitters as well.

Fleur, I do not know if you have been watching the cam with Piret -- her ring might be much easier to see than the transmitter unless she has her back to us, it is amazingly small.

Loch Garten in Scotland are using blue tags. The Loire would be en route for them I think, but I'm not sure if the people up there know if the birds have set off yet.
