They really look hungry... poor Madis!

Old habits die hard :D
Agree, this kind of begging is the same behavior as they were little, but it's looking quit ridiculous when almost adults do this.

As far as I read they will continue this until the parents stop the daily fish delivery. Something like "cold turkey"... ;)
What do you hear? Nothing but the rain.

Baltar and Antoinette,
did you watch Uno when he behaved that way?
Or did you only see the vid by Maertha? (thanks by the way). Here he is begging, yes, just the second before Madis landed.

I did not talk about these few seconds. Uno behaved strange (well, at least unknown to me) about 1 minute earlier. Maybe someone has the pictures.

It was not like begging, since when begging there is always a positioning of the body towards the provider and some noise to get the attention.
What I saw was the opposite: he stuck at the place, spread his wings and kind of ducked/hid, just moving the head to watch the sky.

Yes, the cam has lost about 1,5 hours now. The clock there is 18.08, should be 19.41.

Strange with that camera... don't know what the reason for that.

But hereby are two links of yesterdays and today's migration routes of Piret:
http://goo.gl/maps/izDHW
and
http://goo.gl/maps/qHolw

hopefully you could open those, that's new map solution also for me, so please respond in forum, if there are some problems to open those!

In migration map
http://birdmap.5dvision.ee/en
there is difficult to import new transmitter type data, so will enter there only one location per day (up to new technical solution will elaborated).

Thanks for the maps! They all work fine here.
Fantastic how far she can fly in just one day, our wonderful Piret :)

About the cam - it seems to somehow have set itself to slow motion mode. Very strange, indeed. You could check this link, where someone seems to have solved a similar problem. http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Webcams/Q ... d-p/408592 Perhaps it gives you a clue to what the problem could be.

Thank you Urmas.....it is amazing how many miles Piret has already flown. And thank you for allowing us the privilege of watching. As I have scoured the web to find out all I can about these beautiful birds I am in awe of how many people work to insure the survival of these lovely osprey and so, so many other bird species. The ornithologists, biologists, re-habbers, rescue organizations and thousands of volunteers who devote countless hours making sure these wonderful birds have a chance make me realize how many people do care about their welfare. And thank you to that little boy or girl who may look up at the beautiful blue sky somewhere today and decide that when they grow up they too want to help the birds. Thanks to you all.....and Godspeed Piret......fly safely.... :2thumbsup:

Before the family is all gone I just want to say what a wonderful time I have had watching this osprey family grow up! I have never watched an osprey cam before, and I am very thankful I found this one. Your cam picture is so crystal clear, your forum is so very informative! I started watching right after Nori was hatched and I know I will be back next year! I want all of you to know how much I have enjoyed your company (and still am!)!
