Piret has gone away and did not return until the darkness came, i cant see if she has returned. Is this normal? We are a little bit concerned.

From Northern-Germany - Hello to everyone... may I join you? :hi:

Thanks to all of you for the beautiful pictures and interesting posts! I really enjoy this.

After I've got the link to the webcam and forum, I've been watching the ospreys for over a week now - you people are really doing a great job on this project. First I was a bit concerned about #3 - but in the last few days the little one seems to be catching up rapidly.

Have a nice evening!

Have had more time today to watch the nest, and its so good to see that all have eaten well. Thanks once again for all the interesting post and videos. Thank you Manu for the video of the family in the evening sunshine,it is just beautiful.
I was not aware that Piret left the nest before it got dark, which is unusual for her.
Cheri, I feel sure she is ok and may just have been perched just out of camera lens.

It must be at about 23.20 - 23.30 when I heard a rumble on the camera box. After it the chicks were quiet so I think, that was the moment Piret returned but it was even too dark to recognize.

The exchanging "looks" capture is so beautiful! The chick's head is dramatic with the rusty back, white, and black.

Good morning :loveshower:

I'm glad to see all are ok. Yesterday Piret left the Nest long time before dawn. And she returned after darkness came (we heard it :innocent: ). The period of her absence seemed unusual long. But may be that's because the chicks are older now.

I wanna say "ty" to all who publish these amazing pics and videos from "our little family", it's great. I never had the opportunity to see such a natural spectacle before.

A great day to all :bounce:

Good morning all :hi:

NANCY, you talked about pellets yesterday. I was wondering about that too. I see them make the "movements" but never saw them produce one.
Do they digest all the fishbones?

Looks a lovely day for Piret and babies. Good weather for fishing too. Youngsters are alert and active (except when stuffed with food). Thanks to all the photos and updates - when you can't get on a lot it makes all the difference to catch up.

Not a stupid question at all

there is some information in this thread
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=21

The main thing is that after you save an image to your computer you need to put it on a photo hosting site like photobucket or... there are quite a few possible sites and several countries have their "own" versions. Most are free or free up to a certain usage.

Good morning to all! :hi:

I have thought about the thing yesterday, when Piret (or Madis?) took the fish away. It´s really hard to distinguish both, I was watching the cam the whole time, but maybe I`ve missed a glimpse :puzzled:
