snApe, I would just like to thank you very much for posting your video. It is really beautiful, the way it describes the ospreys caring for each other. Like everyone else I cried, because their time together is ending, abd because not everyone cares for the ospreys as we do. I hope the parents come back next spring as well, and wish the 3 chicks health and success in their migration. I am so enjoying the spectacular images and videos, and have the camera on whenever I can, alternating with the Osprey cam in Maine, USA. I am in California, 10 hours behind Estonian time, so I view in the evening and then in the morning too. Thank you.

I enjoyed watching it, and have bookmarked it!!
Let's hope Piret and Madis return next spring, and maybe we will even see 'our' youngsters in a few years time!!
Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once..

6am or pm? Sorry, I have not been able to watch until about 30 minutes ago and I am in the US. It's 1:16am here, right now.
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Thank you, Alice! Because of the way the sun is shining there today, it looks much later in the day for some reason. I started to worry that something had happened to Madis but now it's ok. I checked with "world time" and found out what time it really is over there. :slap:

Urmas wrote: There are much smaller loggers, but in that case we need to re-trap the bird once again and will get data only from removed logger. Re-trapping of Osprey is extremely difficult and if the bird will not return, then we don't know where to search it.
Most problematic factor in transmitter is energy, most of weight takes battery, even with solar powered one, inside the battery should be for continuous work.

Thank you Urmas for answer.
I never imagine, that somebody will re-trap birds. I do believe they got enough of stress, chock, panic, etc... by this time. Most of viewers got chock as well (me included) of this. I have been absolutely and truly enemy of numbered and banding of birds, of all aspects about of this process. Though, we are doing such a thing, so ... I mean, if the next generation we will expose to observations, maybe we could prepare better equipment.
I can see problem with transmitters. It is a very difficult and problematic factor.
Many greetings.

Ps.
I just learn, so be patient.

I'm sorry for breaking the rules. In the US, people usually do not go by that kind of time, known as Military time. I guess I will need to get a 24 hour clock in order not to make mistakes, again. Sorry.

10:07

Elo is still eating the fish -- slow food is the rule.

(I have been on this site for years now and I can write 19:25 -- for example, it does not now say that -- like the clock on the cam says but I still cannot convert it to real time :slap: )

Elivanarya, I was noticing that aita's photos are very clear -- the numbers are legible, while those on my pictures are not. :bash: (but maybe it is my fault not the computers)
