Re: Latvia Osprey Nest ~ ESTLAT project ~ 2013
Thank you for your welcome!
Yes, we have here a very strong and long winter.
Every morning the song birds are waiting for me to feed them.
But the weather prognosis is good now. Spring will come soon and
I`m looking also forward to all the nice chansons of my little feathered
friends.
Greetings
Marion

welcome, Marion
until the nest cams open, some of us gather here in the "Emptynesters" topic to discuss birds and life - you would be welcome to post there:

A big welcome Marion T. I live near to London in the countryside with my husband and also have two dogs.
Watched Madis and Piret from the start of breeding season last year and fell in love with the Osprey family. Nori also has a special place in my heart and will never be forgotten. I really hope that Piret and Madis make it back safely, they are in my prayers as are all migratory birds at this time of year.
The weather has been unkind to them this year.
Here's hoping for a successful season,

It seem so.Bea wrote:Do they have already open waters there?
They wrote a few other Ospreys are still back in UK.
Let us hope "our" Ospreys will find the way back home also safe and healthy.

No, it isn't Woodcock. There are no observations of the Woodcocks in Latvia until now. Maybe wild boar or some another animal?Fleur wrote:22:04 - and this is the sound of....... maybe Woodcock ?
