Molly! Hopefully in the spring to see Uldis and Ulla in its nest. I love Uldis. Especially when he pecks stump during incubation!molly wrote:August 25 16:44 I think that's Uldis visited nest last time

Can someone please help me find the dates when this family was last seen on the nest?
I have August 25 as the last time for Uldis, but would like to add the others to the second post in this topic.
Thank you!

i think that the cutie in Bea's pictures two days ago could be a tree pipit Anthus trivialis:
viewtopic.php?p=273049#p273049
the pictures there are so clear that someone who knows birds well (= better than me; like vainamoinen) should be able to give a reliable identification.
and here below with the tree pipit (on the right) might be a willow warbler on the left (Phylloscopus trochilus; or a chiffchaff)
alice once told us that on the American side there are titmice and chickadees and on this side the similar birds are tits. (all of them seem to belong in the genus Parus. they look very similar and are related.)
great tits have the habit of looking inside the camera, especially in the autumns. in fact they are looking inside all kinds of holes everywhere and then they get trapped inside buildings, too.
and i'm rather confident that this bird with the red tail is a common redstart (Phoenicurus phoenicurus). was it wagging its tail? redstarts do shake their tails up and down like wagtails but faster than wagtails (but not as high as wagtails).
I think you are right with identification, except there is no Tree pipit but Spotted flycatcher (Muscicapa striata)

then the titmouse in Black Swan's picture (viewtopic.php?p=273054#p273054 ) is actually a great tit (Parus major)Bea wrote:... and suddenly two cuties
