Re: ESTLAT Osprey Cam 2~ Ilmar's Nest ~ 2013
On these Pontu Pics from 15:49 and 15:50 the rings are visible - I´ll think it is a C550 on the left ring (both rings blue over silver) and on the right ring a MB or M8 is visible ...
C550 (?) and MB or M8 right side ring

There was another bird near the camera that frightened this one, I think. The second one's wing can been seen on the left for a brief moment in Bea's Part 3 -video.

It is a young Estonian bird from 2010 (by ring colors), when I´m not mistaken.

If he is 3 years old then, he would be old enough for breeding, wouldn't he?

As far as I know he is a bit too young .... about 2 more years or so to make serious advances to breeding, but younger birds are "playing nest" the years beforeEden wrote:If he is 3 years old then, he would be old enough for breeding, wouldn't he?

What a surprise! Musical nests starting again this year? But for a serious attempt the WTE looks too young. Joosep made the nest very comfy, it seems!

That's surprise!
The immature White-tailed Eagle in nest wearing the ring C550 is ringed by me 23.06.2010 about 5 km of the Ilmars nest as single chick in nest. C550 has been observed and photographed in the area also before during all those years.
There is once needed to visit nest again, to fasten the camera firmly. There is missing one screw to attach. If Osprey will stand on cam, the view will be turned down in current sitaution.
