Best picture of this nest so far. Not only funny, but also showing the abilities of the chicks. They are very aware for the actions of their parents. For now they will assume that fish comes flying to the nest. Must be very funny to observe, when they watch Ilmar catching fish in a lake.

Thanks. I hope Ilmar will show his fishing skills someday to the chicks. They seem to have good ability to copy their parents. I´m admiring how they copy Irma´s yelling voice, when they are waiting for a fish delivery.

And thanks for the pics, Jürgen & Kotkaklubi. Flying Irma is so pretty. And also thanks to Kotkaklubi for making this new and safer nest for Irma & Ilmar & the chicks. The nest looks well built.

After the ringing Kaido, Kenno and Kaari have clearly developed:
They sleep less on the day.

With rain they are not covered any more by Irma.

They pursue over and over again the direction of the flights from Irma and Ilmar.

They imitate now and then Irmas tones.

They know, that Ilmar brings the fish and get up, if he brings the food.

They eat more and faster and deliver more often begging tones.

They more often make exercises with their wings, which become greater.

One can see him, however, only briefly, if the wind moves the tree.
