11:38 Corvids could be heard since minutes. Maybe two ospreys against a bunch of crows is not enough to defend the territory around the nest. Anyway I heard only calls of a youngster, but not the typical predelivery and delivery calling.

11:41 I compared the nest of yesterday at 15:56 just after Elar and Ilmar left and nest of 11:41. Actually no osprey have visited the nest since both left:

11.51 It is a empty nest.
Andi7: I think that also. No nest-factory since yesterday afternoon.

It's so deadly quiet around the nest.
Whether they also set off today?

17:36 - twice, osprey calls from far away could briefly be heard (the wind blowing in the microphone today doesn't help to detect sounds)

18:23 Some species of the corvid family were around the nest. Jays (?) are moving in the dead tree. Crow or raven could be heard. I think also magpies are calling.

19:08 - lots of small, light coloured birds are playing in Ilmar's dead tree; a raven is calling not far away

19:11 - osprey calls, not too far away; but... who is it?

Somehow I have the feeling that Ilmar left and started his migration, but that Elar could still be around. It wouldn't be the first time that an adult leaves before the last chick migrated.

7:32 cam is online, but was not before if checked.
Images are previously taken, so either low speed data from cam or server problem.

6:19 is the first picture taken by the Pontu archive

7:08 - a small visitor on the nest: http://193.40.124.24/2014-kalakotkas2-f ... -07-08.jpg

9:36 - little visitor again: http://193.40.124.24/2014-kalakotkas2-f ... -09-36.jpg

No other activity on the nest nor in Ilmar's dead tree according Pontu.
The forest is rather silent this morning. I think the osprey we could hear in the distance yesterday might be gone too.

No signs that any bigger bird has visited the nest.

10:30 - the sound of a bird could be heard for a while, not too far from the nest. The sound could remind of an osprey call, but I don't think it is an osprey, maybe another raptor species, but I've no idea which one.
