Hopefully we will have this camera as well for 2015! There are so many interesting things; will Madis and Piret return to this nest; if Piret comes, is it possible to remove the non-functioning backbag; could we see the chicks from 2012 Uno, Elo or Nori etc!
Wishing everybody a joyful and interesting osprey season!

Yes, indeed, three years passed and they must return... or move to Finland like Tonn?

Good news!

Got info from Urmas that another camera season is planned for Piret & Madis nest :D

Due to bad weather it is still not sure when camera can be placed, we just have to be patient and wait until it is more safe and they find time to climb the nest tree and do the necessary work on it.
Taking a look at the swaying nest tree at Irma & Ilmar´s nest, it is somehow self-explaning that nobody should climb a nest tree currently

But already now: JIPPIIIEEHHHH! :loveshower:

Wonderful news!
Thank Urmas & Co.! Thank you Bea!

I have a question: The camera will be placed in the new nest tree or in the old nest tree?

Hello Kizo,

as far as I know, it will be the same place (old nest).

The (new) nest from last year is in a heardly accessible area, so that it is not possible to install a camera and power supply system there.
And it makes no sense at all, as the nest tree from last year is destroyed - Urmas told us that he found the nest fallen down and two dead Osprey chicks under it.

So maybe there is a chance that they will take their old nest tree again - our camera tree.

But Urmas wasn't 100% sure it was the new nest of Madis and Piret, cause he'd never seen them in that nest. He only supposed it was their new nest.
