Maris Strazds has commented:
"The Aivo route is "removed from the chart" (so as not to reveal the location of the seat), and will only be available to me with an administrator's access in the future - so it will not be visible on the goris.lv page. Ask me from time to time and I will report what is he doing. "

Aivo has appeared in Kaliningrad (between the Kaliningrad region and Kaunas) after some period of silence - certainly healthy and a day away from his nest.

Good Morning Solo :hi:

Thanks a lot for all your work here. I'm know, that you have not much time in the moment! :2thumbsup:

As long as the sun is charging the battery, Katis Sender will transmit data.. a bit strange for me. And very sad, to remember it. She was great!

It is a pity that there is nobody nearby who could pick up the transmitter. It is a very bad area.
I think it costs nothing to transmit the data? :puzzled:

I do not know? As you know, the Storklets do not often survive. So I do not understand, that they pay a data quota for several years? We would have to ask Maris S.
All I know is that Maris has interests in the transmitter, but no way to get it. Maybe he'll let send the transmitter, so it can be found?

- data: I remember that it can be subscription one year and when the bird is alive further and further
- transmitters: it is not always possible get back the transmitter(dangerous area, without partners, ... or they know not the exactly position/GPS - transmitter failed)
- I remember that Dr. Strazds has some transmitters back (Urmas too and also ornithologist from HU has back transmitters from Turkey but also from Afrika/Tanzania)

:D
Mare has finally left her favorite feeding grounds in Ethiopia. There is a possibility that she will spend her summer in Europe. ... She is the first black stork with transmitter at this age. Everything that will happen is new information! (FB Melnais stārķis. Dzīvības lidojums)
