So "couple" more days are over and quick list of tagged BSs from Estonia is following:
Raivo - in Israeli fishponds;
Priidu - in Darfur area, Sudan wintering;
Kaku - in Israeli fishponds;
Lembit and Leida - in Sudan, near Nile wintering;they were pair from last year, this year Leida has new mate without of marks, Lembit was a bachelor;
Valdur - stopped in Israel, now in Ethiopia wintering;
Oss - in Israeli fishponds wintering;
Pirsu - in Chad wintering;
Raivos both offspring 7115 and 7116 - in Romania;
Reet, Raivos mate - no signals fron mid of August...;
Murru - in Chad wintering;
Toomas - in Israeli fishponds.

Our German colleague Carsten Rohde spent three weeks in Israeli fishponds and read 177 colour rings + 13 metal rings of BSs. Also he took a lot of perfect images, including of our storks.

I'm also happy, if can produce good news....
Raivos juveniles flew together only up to Latvia, afterwards they are not together, but follow almost the same route (maybe genetically determined?). One of them arrived yesterday to the Greece-Turkey border area - the same place where Pirsu nearly a month stopped over.

As Renno found out - Pirsu is wintering in Zakouma National Park, unfortunately mostly known by illegal hunting and poaching on elephants... You could find some interest information from National Geographic indeed.
