This is all I can find. If all the regular 'birders' in Scandanavia have already marked off GSE maybe they don't bother anymore :puzzled: :dunno:
Oh, certainly not!
There was one report near Stockholm in april about an adult GSE with white markings on the upperside of the back which probably is a transmitter (not working)
That could be Tõnn or his younger brother Tor. :shake:

Is it the Svalan (bird observations database) report from April 5th, Össeby Garn?
(Although real birders don't bother much with Svalan, I expect :innocent: )

Yeah, that's the one.
Keep in mind though that adult rare birds like Tõnn in breeding season is not/ or should not be shown publically on maps.
Well, if i saw Tõnn tomorrow I would tell Urmas but noone else until September

:slap: Aww JanE That would be unkind. We are all worried about Tönn,just to know he is alive & well would be enough.

Any news of Tõnn, please?

Not asking for specific location - just any info?
Latest entries for GSE in the Swedish bird observation reports are from July 15th, one from Central Sweden, the other from far up north.

:hi:
Wow  , this could be him, look at northern Norway here:

http://svalan.artdata.slu.se/fennoscand ... 14&month=9

Comment say "Probably Tõnn. Been in the area since 12.sept"

Hope some more go there and can confirm :shake:

:headroll:
Poking around on the Norwegian report site gave another observation nearby from 17.05.2014 that was kept secret and reported by the local bird committe 07.08.2014:
http://www.artsobservasjoner.no/fugler/ ... myear=2014
Best of all it has three pictures to click on  (copy-righted I guess)
Comments say "1 adult.. -skip-.. Most probably Tönn? See the antenna on the back and the metal ring on the right foot. Observer and photographer Tore Rausandaksel"

Well he looks rather pale or bleached :puzzled: but guess it's him.

If switching the Fennoscandia link above to May one can zoom in on that nice delta landscape Langvassgrenda NR (Nature Reserve)

Tõnn, our GSE with his own ideas about wintering grounds and summer lands, has been observed in El Hondo.
Many thanks to Graham Critchell for the report!

 Many thanks to Graham Critchell for keeping an expert eye on Tõnn!

And many happy returns, Tõnn, with frogs, mice and whatever else a GSE might wish for: December 7th was Tõnnipäev or Tõnn's day.
Tõnisepäev, on January 17th, in the old Estonian calendar will do as well.

Remains to see where and when Iti continues her journey. No moves from near Ternopil in Ukraine since November 12th?

There were no pictures of Tõnn on that page, it was only said that somebody had seen him lately.
nGreater Spotted Eagle Aquila clanga (1)
(1) Alicante. On 11.1, the famours Estonian eagle 'Tonn' was seen again at El Hondo, Alicante (Jana Marco, Ana van der Hofstadt, Juan Mª Pérez-García).

Some very nice photos of Tõnn in El Hondo: http://www.rarebirdspain.net/arbsr000.htm#Aqucla :bounce:
(+Pallid Harrier!)
Could it maybe be possible to catch him and take off or switch the transmitter on the back?

Heard of a project here where they catch adult Golden Eagles and put a sender on to see how they move around windmills.
(sounds a bit cruel  )
