I noticed also that Iti is flying back. :puzzled:

Has such behaviour ever been reported? This should be really interesting for Urmas et al.

I would really appreciate Urmas' assessment of Iti's behaviour.

Iti sends data after every 10 days in winter time, so missing her new locations is fully normal at the moment.
That kind of mistakes within migration are not much described, there is very few data about similar behavior. We track Iti since 2009 and all previous years were like "normal", only current winter she appeared to be in new place. Will see what next season brings!

Was the link to the Birdmap 2018 changed? I can see only 2017.

Just heard from some friends who flew for their winter vacation to Eilat, that the sky there is covered with birds on their way back to Europe.

Will some local ornithologist go and look for the transmitter? To see whether it fell off?
