04:48 Lotte back. Self -feeding: remains of muskrat. Owlet awake, but not in a special way hungry. Lotte seems to be very hungry.

15:08 First Lotte takes a meal for herself. Looks again like remains of muskrat.

15:12 Lotte wants to put the remains in the larder. Owlet isn't amused. It is blocking the entry of the larder. But Lotte doesn't give up.

Thanks for the updates, Riitta. Hopefully Lotte captures something fresh and big soon. And what`s about Leo, brings he still food?
I miss this year squirrels, hedgehogs and peregrine falcons.

It's Lotte observing surroundings.
Unfortunately cam 1 doesn't workt anymore. Observing the legde was not possible. But both were to be heard. I have only this pic from Lotte on th ledge.

Yes it's a pity, that only one cam works. And the archive-pics are damaged. Let's wait, when it will be o.k.

16:28 Feeding begins. After some small morsels, owlet takes a huge one with the fat tail of the muskrat. After minutes it can't manage it! Concerned Lotte comes and looks, if little one needs help. Owlet is able, to spit it out. Now Lotte takes the big morsel with tail and swallowed it. On the ground is the last morsel of muskrat. It seems, that muskrat is eaten completely...

Lotte was here without food. She's away.

I hope, that there was a delivery last night for the owlet. I can't recognize anything on the archive-pics.
And only low volume live.

I guess, there is no prey in the larder, because I can see only a few flies on the nest.

13:16 Pecking at Lotte's feathers. Hungry owlet! Then it is nibbling at Lotte's talons for three minutes! Mom isn't amused. therefore she is lifting her left leg.
