It is too bad that there are apparently not enough nesting spaces for all.
I guess the little owls must not be endangered. (and that is good news)

They have prepared other nests for the Little Owl in 'in case' and will fit webcams if the owls take up residence.

...and Mr. Owl arrived with a moth,a still wriggling worm,a moth and another moth..but he is afraid to go inside. He only gets as far as the 'ramp'.alice44 wrote:Two pigeons in the way and two eggs in the nest.
Last on today's video was Mrs Owl and she went inside.
The nest-box is empty of owls just now. Two eggs still.

There are now four eggs in the Little Owl's nestbox and she is incubating.
The pigeons are gone from the 'front-door'.
There is a funny video there about Mr. Owl and his food contributions to the larder.
Mrs Owl said,'put them outside,in the hallway' but he is not listening.!! She has to take the insects outside herself. LOL
The other video sees Mr. Owl assisting with the arrival of the 4th egg..even bringing 'presents' during that.!
Peigrine falcons have two chicks hatched.

Yesterday there was a fight between Little Owl and the Dove: see the video!
Dove lost a lot of feathers but is sitting now in the door way as if nothing had happened.

When I popped by the Little Owl had just woke up and she peeked out and of course the dove attempted to attack her. I think that dove is going to do it self a damage.

Obviously, she is with child and very defensive. I'll subdue her with this large piece of wood. (c) Raccoon Willie

I nearly fell out of my chair laughing! The look on the owl's face as she was calculating the distance & planning her attack was priceless, & the look of incredulity on the dove's face as it looked back toward the nestbox opening was also priceless!macdoum wrote:
