As far as I understood from the written in Beleef the Lente, this event will not happened in Beleef de lente nest, where young Eagle owls are already big but in one nest in Germany. I did not understand the reason why this happened. In German forum there was written that there was rather poor feeding from parent side and one owlet was quite weak. Then another owlet wounded them in one evening for unknown reason and he died at night.

I've noticed that the last time parents did not divide the food between owlets. One owlet was eating first and more than the other.
I didn't see what happened at night of 8 / 9 June, but I translated some with Google:
A owlet attacked his brother and sister and injured him possibly.

in the morning of 9 June I saw that only one owlet went to a big owl.
then I saw the other owlet lies in this unnatural attitude.
Obviously, she is with child and very defensive. I'll subdue her with this large piece of wood. (c) Raccoon Willie

3 or 4 days ago one owlet grabbed another by the head and dragged and did not let him go :(

The female Peregrine Falconon Beleef ..S2 has been shot and badly injured.
The vet specialist doesn't know if the wing, broken by pellets can be repaired. As its probable S2 will never fly again, she may be euthanised...
The human monsters are about again..

EDIT 31st Jan.
S2 was operated on successfully, rehabilitated and the decision to release him in July 2012 was taken to give him more chances after the breeding period.
