Two more pics from yesterday evening
Adult owl was there, too
Stopped watching around midnight, there is no update from the Cam-diary until now.
And pic from today

Stefan Brücher writes, that the owlet "became" an orphant, so I think it must have had parents
It is a pity that we don´t can read more there about the owlet.

Hello spatz Thanks for the hint!
Yes, he wrote that they were not sure if Lotte brought food, but she visited the owlet several times during the night, following his begging calls. Beakclapping was heard, but no sighting to proof a feeding.
Stefan Brücher again had put food to the owlet and owlet took it and stored it in a rock crack, it was not hungry at that time -> this is natural behaviour - later in the evening it was eating its storage
He writes that owlet behaves normal and seems to enjoy where it is.
When I watched it yesterday in nighttime it was quite lively, walked along the rockrim from one side to the other, shook feathers, stretched and fluttered and watched its surrounding very interested.

Bea & spatz.
Yesterday I waited to 22.15 (here 23.15), but no adults. But the owlet was very alert running around the cave. Today more action and earlier.
Owlet was having a rat. (Probably from Stefan?)
In the other corner was an adult. Lotte, I assume.

In the same pic. Lotte & the owlet.
The owlet could use little help with ripping that rat, but Lotte flew away.

It looks like!
Stefan wrote that he wants to stimulate Lotte to feed the chick, it is not known if Lotte did this already or not.
When he throws rats the owlet can swallow them by itself, and Lotte eats them as easy prey, too
But a rabbit can´t be swallowed whole .... so probably he wants to provocate a feeding situation. I´m curious!
Stefan writes he will give all this a longer try, in the hope that adoption could be successful.

Owlet working on the rabbit
22:01
In the meantime I heard the voice of an adult owl - Lotte?
Now the owlet is here and I can´t see the rabbit - did Lotte steal and fly away with it???
Unfortunately the cam was not zooming or swapping in that time

I also saw owlet working on the rabbit earlier...
I´m afraid Stefan will have to feed the owlet for some time.
I sure would like to adopt this little guy/girl.

19. May
Stefan has not yet written news today, but I think that he threw some food to the owlet around midday.
Now, at 21:23, Lotte (?) was here and the owlet begged for food. But to me it seemed as if Lotte was not very friendly to the owlet and only wanted to search for food to steal it
