Lotte(?) was there this morning. The little owlet was trying to get some contact, but maybe Lotte wasn´t too happy about it... :puzzled:

22. May

New report from Stefan Brücher:

If Lotte will not begin/continue feeding the owlet this night they will stop the try to get to an adoption. He feels sorry for this ...

I think it was worth a try!

Hello everybody,
I am new to this forum. I watched Junguhu over last days. Does anyone know what will happen to Juhguhu if the last attempt fails?

Welcome to the forum Mamicja. :hi:
Good question. I´ve wondered it too. Will Stefan raise the owlet, will the owlet put the zoo or wildlife center or..? :puzzled:

Welcome here, Mamicja :hi:

Unfortunately there is a lack of information in the postings from Stefan Brücher - I wished there was written more about all .... I found no place or forum where there was more info .... :puzzled:

Well, when he reports not more about the owlets future tomorrow, when they (probably) decide to take it away from that place I will e-mail him and ask for more infos.
Of course will post it here when getting anything ;)

Stefan Brücher is member/chief (?) of a "Society for Owls" - maybe something similar like Kotkaklubi in Estonia for Eagles.
I think they have kind of "Owl Station" where they breed orphant eggs or raise orphant owlets, try to heal injured owls and so on.

Thanks Mamicja, for the hint!

Due to the weather conditions they will take the owlet away this evening.

They found a breeding Owl couple with owlets and will bring this owlet to them, so that it can grow up with the others and hopefully be accepted by the parents.
It was not easy to find them, because there are not many breeding couples of owls this season (bad mouse year).
They found this breeding couple the day before yesterday.

Perhaps - if they had found it earlier this would have been their first choice for our orphant owlet ... (my presumption)

Stefan Brücher will report more about owlets new home.

Stefan removed the owlet. I hope the new family will accept this little cutie. And I hope Stefan will write some report how things end up... (and Bea will translate).

I wish Junguhu all the best and hope, that in the new nest the owlet will find a caring parents and friendly siblings.
I will wait for an optymistic information.
