Hi .... we had a visit !!!! Unfortunately I did not see whether Lotte or Leo .

Yes, and it was not only one visit - it were two

First Leo was here alone .... it seems he has an injury at or under his right eye, it looks a bit swollen

Second visit - Leo came in first, at 07:59, and Lotte followed immediately

And Leo was so enthusiastic again, scratching in the nestbowl, with tail high

Ooo. That right eye doesn't look good at all! Not only is it very puffy below the eyelid, but the pupil is smaller and appears misshapened. I hope someone can post a more recent photo of Leo soon showing improvement.

Yes, hopefully there is no disadvantage for the eye .... but in the video and the smaller pics the pupil looks better, perhaps it is only a matter of the camera and its viewing angle on the Pixtura pic .... *hope*

I recall last year his left eye also looked puffy. I hope it's due only to the way he closes his eye.

Look who was here for a lot of hooting - I think it was Leo, ring on left leg.





I couldn´t hear Lotte answering, maybe he was here for some "this-is-my-territory"-hoot

But when it really was Leo, it seems that his right eye is better now

Not only the ring on right leg says; it could be Leo, but the voice sounds like him.

Me, too .... pfffttttt - cam was running the whole time, but exactly/short before Leo arrived it went jumpy

Leo's German name is so perfect: "Uhu". I love listening to him cluck and uhu. Any eye problem seems to have vanished. I think he was just winking at us; he was just doing his Uhu thing. What a fascinating creature. It will be interesting when Leo and Lotte start spending more time in the cave together.
