In this nest I have seen mostly one bird, so far I have also not seen any food being brought, if it is the female (Mētra?) on the egg, she sometimes leaves the nest for a while. But is calling quite a bit. It's difficult to see so many different nests at the same time :puzzled:

In our Latvian forum there is opinion, that male who was in nest yesterday isn't Madis but other boy. However our expert Ugjis hasn't approved this opinion yet.

Oh...maybe that`s why she was looking so nervous/restless, and she was calling a lot..(I don`t now if I write her name right, i can`t manage to find that sign over the E that others here use :puzzled: )

the easiest way is copy and paste from the text here, a longer way would be to open a Word document and insert with "symbol" a font with the ē (usually such special fonts are included in the insert symbol) and copy and paste it here

I would not wonder if a different male also looks on Mētra, as she is a beauty, at least in my eyes!

It is still windy, I have not seen any food delivery or male in the nest today. Does anyone know how many eggs they have here, one or two?

It's very difficult to really look into this nest, but maybe there is a second egg as well. Did not manage to catch it, but I think I saw a second one. Though, I am anything but sure, can be nesting material as well. Maybe somebody else got a better look? :puzzled:

Mētra got up once again to preen, I don't think there is a second egg. What I had seen and thought it could maybe one is part of the nesting material

Felis, it does look as though there is a second egg!
This is an enlargement of your fourth picture.

Jo, that's what I also thought, but when Mētra got up to preen shortly afterwards, I think I saw that it was still in front of her when she sat down again. Can't say, tried to look very hard, but it's so jerky and those branches come in front just in the wrong moments
