I did a little research on the Latvian forum. There is also a video from 7.50. Parent arrives to the nest and then Miks follows. I´m not sure did Miks jump from the lower branches or flew there. :puzzled: Maybe you need to check it too. :D

:hi: Starling and Fleur

Thanks for your pics and videos!
It is amazing to see Miks approaching and landing on the nest - already looks very professional

Watching him during the last days one could see how easy he made his jumps and wingflappings when changing from nest to branch and return
Did you hear Macho chirping and calling Miks to come to the nest? :loveshower:

While typing this a parent bird comes in with a mole

It´s so interesting to see the different behaviours of the youngsters - Miks is on the branches around and keeps an eye on the nest and flies in when parents come with prey.

Kalev stayes out of the nest - but I guess Eha would like him to feed on the nest.

Stephi - we don´t know, but Tormi last year was out of the nest, too, and didn´t come back. And parents were not back in the nest again with more prey when they had noticed that Tormi had left the nest.

You can see the band between Miks and Macho is stronger than before. That is good because Miks has to learn a lot now from Macho.
For Metra it must be difficult to leave her big boy now.

21:09 - No one in the nest..will Miks spend his first night out?

21:27 - It's difficult to see now, but I think the nest is empty. No Miks or Metra, and no evening care..
