The egg crack goes around it, almost. I could see just as Metra put it under her again.

I thought it was a crack, but when Metra moved it it looked like it could have been a little leaf or something :puzzled:

Did my eyes deceive me?? Did I see something, not an egg, under her? I only caught a glimpse; I had to stop the media player for a minute, then when I turned it on again, I think I saw something. But it could have been one of her feathers. :whistling:

Darn it, I lost the recording of the close-up on the crack in the egg where you could see what looked like the hole being made bigger.

 Yes, in my household, too, all must stop for the cat-- at least she thinks so!

My stomach ( and my husband) says that I have to get breakfast, so I have to take a break..I'l be back 8-)

Edit: last year when, Tuulis egg was hatching, I went to work in the morning and when I came home in the afternoon the egg had still not hatched - so this may take a while..

Oh, darn. . . You are right, it must have been a trick of the cam as the nest tree swayed. And I see now that what looked to me like a crack going across the egg surface was a thin twig.

I wish the cam were a better resolution when it is zoomed. It is hard to tell for sure what we are seeing. Except that we can see the mole well, little pink feet & pink nose, too.

Here, Metra was watching Macho soar overhead.
