Yes, I had! I saw very good friends (or relatives) again, had a good time with them and their friends, had Georgian food for the first time in my life (absolutely delicious) and I met Jo, who extra took the time and trouble to come to meet me for a few hours in London on Sunday afternoon! The timing was not good, as for the queen's jubilee going on, but we had a good time chatting!Manu wrote:Felis , nice to see you back . I hope you have had a wonderful time in London.

I had been worried about her, but Felis said when she was in London, Jo made it to London -- despite all the hoopla with the Queen, and so they had a chance to meet.Fleur wrote:

oops Felis' comment is right here in this thread -- there are so many I get confused.

I'm not sure if I am to say it here, but Jo worries about her cat at the moment and I have not heard from her about what the vet said. It sounded very serious! Maybe this is the reason why Jo does not have much time?

Felis, thank you for "filling in" for me.
When I am having a hard time I tend to keep to myself but forum friends are supporting.
My old Burmese cat, Silver has too many signs of ageing, recently. She lost bladder control and I thought it was time to say Goodbye to her.
But I can't do that. She seems so well, apart from that, and it has improved in the past 2 days.
It was great to meet Felis in London, but we could not have chosen a worse day. There were millions of people there and the weather was just foul. But we found a cafe called Enough2FeedAnElephant.
What a name - they had run out of most food!

I found it on Google street view! But I guess there were too many elephants last Sunday!
I'm happy about the better news about Silver!

@ Jo-- I hope all the best for your cat, Silver. It is hard to see them age. When I asked my vet once when it would be time to bring my old cat Spritz for the final injections, he just said, "You will know the time." And he was right. For now, Silver's time is not yet.

good to hear from you, Jo, but sad to hear that you cat isn't well...
we have a "100-year-old" in our family, too, Ritva. her hearing is gone so she tells us what to do in a roaring voice which doesn't match her size at all, and her hind legs aren't working well any more, but otherwise she's fine and happy. (her kidneys will eventually fail: she has increased drinking.)
Silver will be fine as long as the bladder is the only problem. i think it's like Kitty wrote: we'll know when the time is right to take the final step. till then i wish you good nerves with floorcloths and wipes!

ame,I think we have twins. My Gigi goes roaring around the house if something upsets her.like she didn't quite like the food I just put out. She often manages to wake 'the man-who-is sleeping upstairs. Then we are both in trouble.
She only weighs 2.8 kg now, poor darling. I think she's deaf too but she can hear (or feel) the fridge door opening.
Yes,one day at a time.

A few damp patches, sometimes. Nothing serious. She seems happy, if deaf!
