 Hello, Macdoum - so nice to see you back!
And as Alice said, please take it nice and easy.
Not as the about 10 000 in next item! :innocent:

On today, starting in 1 minute (8 am): some 10 000 skiers in 88th Swedish Vasaloppet.
If you want to have a look now and then, Swedish TV HERE (corrected!) - can't find any English commentary - or just the elite here
All the sweat, broken skis, smiles, blueberry soup, occasional elk (well, aka moose) families. The best will be done in about 4 hours, last will be allowed in at the finish at about 8 pm.

Last year I think I watched some of it, but this year it is only for people in Sweden.

I did not get to see any elk/mooses last year either.

Vasaloppet, 90 km - internationally HERE

Sorry, Fleur, Alice and others - my fault  , the URL is 3 lines long & there are some 5 of them for various purposes.

15 800 skiers were registered.

They try to show one or two elks from the camera helicopter, but there have been different varieties of Vasaloppet for a week at least - seniors, ladies, beginners ... so maybe the elks have moved a bit by now.

oh ame what an adorable cat

as when looking out the window (from her Christmas vigil), she does not look overly impressed with eagles and ravens

after i had noticed that she was sitting by the eagle cam it took me some time to finish all the preparations for the shooting of the video, like setting up the camera on the tripod and enlarge the eagle window on the screen. by then my star actress was getting already a bit bored watching the eagles. :D i think it's written all over her face: "may i go now?"

How cute, Ame! :loveshower: Mine is not really interested in TV or PC, only rarely listens up when a strange sound is heard.

@ Ame, such a cute video with Ritva, she is a pretty cat. She may have been getting bored, but at least she sat long enough to get the video.

:hi: My cat, Sacha, sends greetings to Ame's Ritva & to Felis' Blacky. Sacha likes to watch nature programs on TV & will even run up to sit close, looking up at the screen to get a better look. She especially likes shows about big cats (of course), but any kind of animal will do. She really loves the PBS show, Nature.

how beautiful Sacha, Kitty! :loveshower:
is she Russian blue?

Ritva is about 19 (at least; she came to us 18 years ago and she was adult then) and gone deaf so she gets bored quicker that she used to. she likes nature programs on TV, too.
we have raised two male kittens and both of them liked to watch ice-hockey on the TV when they were under 1 year old. boys! :whistling:

great to hear from you macdoum!
get well soon!

She does inpress me with her good taste.

No, Ame, she is not Russian Blue, so far as I know. Her coloring is right , though, so who knows? She came as a frightened stray in our neighborhood, & after several days of coaxing her with food, I was able to grab her & bring her in. She was a bit wild, but had obviously been someone's pet. She was already spayed & was healthy. Our vet estimated her at 1 to 1.5 yrs old, so she would be about 9 yrs old or so by now.

:loveshower: Kitty - your Sacha is a real beauty! And greets back to her from my Blacky, who seems to feel better and better! She is eating on her own now, even without being coaxed to do and today we repeated the chicken from outside which she acknowledged the last time but did not eat, today she was first at the dining table and she had a few bites. :headroll: It's still not much, but it is a few bites here and few there and I am so glad she did not stop eating again after the new incident last Wednesday! She behaves more and more normal now! I did not believe after the first few weeks that we would see her like this again! I know how thin the line is, but I am happy that she has come so far! I hope it will stay for a while now!

Great to see Macdoum also back! Hope even if the recovery is slow, it's going on and with every passing day you get better! All the best again and greets!
