Re: The Picnic Grounds
Kitty welcome back!
we were so worried not to hear from you for such a long time. i was just about to get really worried about when you were supposed to be at home and there still was no sign of you... but now you're back at home and getting better but you have to now listen to hubby and take it easy. birds will not fly away.
(i think a good rule of thumb would be a maximum of one hour at computer and then a minimum of one hour of rest lying down. )
thank hubby once more for giving us news about you in the meanwhile.

Thank you, everyone. You are wise in your recommendations for rest. I think I overdid it today. Did fine until about 1:30 pm, then hit a wall & didn't feel so good. Had to lie down & slept for about 3.5 hrs. Felt better then, & made some barley soup for supper, but I was sweaty as a pig in deep summer just doing that. Marty says, take it easy, I am sicker than I like to admit. I know he's right. But it did feel good to make the soup in spite of needing to shower off afterwards. So tonight, I have just come to the computer & I have a timer set-- only 1.5 hrs, then to bed. I know strength will improve over the coming days, I just need to be patient.

I guess, there is no real good place to post this!
I have sad news, about one hour ago, on her 12th birthday (today), Blacky went over the rainbow bridge!
She was in one of her bad breathing fits when I reached home and while I got her ready to go to the clinic she died! I am missing her already terribly and since I am alone at home, don't really know what to do, except walking up and down, stroking her - she looks like she's sleeping now!
I am so sad! Rest in peace, my little sweetheart!

Oh Felis,
I´m so sorry to read that your Blacky had to go .... and I am sure she knows that you have done everything possible to help her in her desease and make her life as good as you can ...
It is so hard when animals that share oure lives are leaving ... they are members of the family ...
A big hug for you, Felis ....

oh Felis, such sad news!
... there's a saying in Finnish that cats have 9 lives, but sometimes even those run out, even for a relatively young cat like Blacky. i know it's not very comforting for you right at this moment but she's better now, sleeping in cats' heaven.
