Hello Kuremari, it feels so good to be back with all of you. Part of my absence was my injured knee, but also I just didn't feel at home on the other stork forum anymore.

Big bro (Phillip) had just poked the little one (Matteo) with his elbow and he was showing his displeasure.

Sorry to wave the Rules here!
I see there are some moving images, further up the page. As there are not many of us here today, let's leave them on this page now, and try to remember that only still images should be posted on this forum.
The explanation for this rule is given in the Introduction.

Sorry to be a rulebook on this first evening at the picnic ground.

I have been waiting patiently for daylight in Estonia, but it is not coming very quickly!

I tuned into the new cam link :D and for the past two hours I have heard occasional lovely bird sounds, but the screen is pitch black.

Currently, where I am, our sunrise is around 6:30 in the morning, and daylight lasts for ~ 9 hours. In Estonia, sunrise is ~ 8:30 and the days will soon be only 7 hours long. And the shortest day of the year is a month away.

How do you all cope with the lack of sunlight?

Congratulation all with new forum!
Have had webcam open. I see there is a lot of food already eaten!
Bociany this dark time is not easy to some people. I think, Renandeli can tell about "kaamos". Psychologists suggest keep a lot of bright lights on at homes. On other side it´s nice time, waiting time. Some are waiting for Christmas, some for winter solstice which are the same for me.

Kaamos, oh the wonderful dark blue, black time of the year! No sunlight! Only the light of stars and the moon, the northern lights. Soul is dwelling in magic mysterious thoughts.. joke. Many many people say it's boring, some get depressed, some hope they were bears and could go to sleep until the sun comes black in the sky, February, Mars, some just get mad, euphoric or what ever, and most do not think it at all. It is more dark here in Southern Finland when we do not have snow. I have never seen that kind of northern lights like there on the pic from Northern Finland..

Oh, ravens making sounds. My dogs waked, eyes round, what!!

It's unbelivable, but I have seen the most colourful Northern Lights of my life in a summer evening! They were green. I wondered what is that glittering in rain water pool.. The lights were in the sky! It was August. In winter i have seen quite bright colourless sudden lighs flashing here and there between clouds, they were a bit scaring..like 'UFO'-lights.. But I remember from my childhood, there were lights that the whole village had come to watch, the were like a huge crown aroud the sky above. But i'm not sure if I have imagined the 'picture' of this in my mind...stars were like bright holes in the black blue surface of the sky.
