I like this music. :headroll:

Regilaul. Songs of the Ancient Sea

Synopsis:
"On the shores of the Gulf of Finland, the ancient Finno-Ugric peoples originated a singing tradition of mysterious power called the Regilaul. These songs are the roots of Estonia’s renowned singing culture. Based on the continuous repetition of eight-syllable verses, they produce a haunting sound able to connect the fleeting present with the eternal circle of life. Against the stunning setting of modern Estonia, this film explores how Regi songs still fire the imagination today, weaving together people and nature through song."

Sounds interesting and I found there are resemblances to the Bulgarian Women's Choires (former The Mystere de la voix Bulgares). Maybe people in pre-christian-times sang like that everywhere in Europe (I have folksongs from sicily and balkan-countries with some similarity as well).

Carmel Macdoum, get well soon!!!!!!

Thank you, Jo, for checking about Macdoum for us. I was a bit worried that we had not heard anything from her since she wrote that she felt like a Mac truck had run over her. I hope she is soon feeling more able to participate in these forums.

I´ve heard it in the radio and saw the pictures on tv.
It is an unspeakable tragedy and I feel so sorry!

My thoughts are with the families, who lost their children.

Felis, how does it go with Blacky these days? Has she continued to improve?

Up and down, last week on Monday we reduced the medication and we had problems on Wednesday night. Thought we could solve it by phone (got "her" cardiologist on the phone late in the night!) by giving an extra dose of the dehydration medicine, but apparently it did not get out all the water, on Saturday noon I had to bring her to the clinic where she had to stay under surveillance for 24 hours again (even had to go into the oxygene box first as she got too agitated to even have an x-ray to begin with).
Otherwise, she is doing not bad, she is eating (even if it is still not really enough), she is taking part in our live, she has stopped her odd new habits like sleeping in the bath tub. Apart from being only skin and bones and having shaved front legs and tummy, she looks quite normal again! Poor thing had a bad dream last evening, was growling in her sleep ...
Thanks for asking!

When Macdoum fell sick I felt that a human being is much more important than a cat. I hope that Carmel is feeling better now, I see her online now and then and read her a couple of times.

But it's really nice of you to ask! We do our best to make Blacky comfortable. I think at the moment she is as well as possible, even if there are setbacks. The main goal at the moment is to keep the water out of her lungs (and have her eating at the same time).

I have made a photo, already some weeks back, when we had the first really nice and warm day

I understand how you feel, but our pets get us through the tough times and comfort us when we are sick and so we like to know your cat is doing better.

And such a cute picture.
