Here are a couple of little starlings that came onto my deck one day last week, just after sunrise, to take a bath and have some fun.

But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

How nice, the starlings! I had a crow sitting on the next building in the morning (usually no really exciting birds here in the middle of the city, I fear)

A raven who talked with me when I clucked to him

Image

But I did not understand what he said ... (one predecessor could say a very bad word!)

Forgot this one:

Image

Can you guess what it is? Was going very fast, so no good one. A nuthatch in the snow leopard's cage ...

Kestrel

Image

and Harris' hawk (not really local)

Image

getting a wing stretch after the show. I had a nice chat with the two ladies though

Yes, Schwarzhalsschwan - Cygnus melancoryphus
Kolbenente - Netta rufina the one with the golden head, Brautente - Aix sponsa - is the one preening on the piece of wood. There were many more, but I can't post them all!

Thank you all for the amazing photos.
I love of birds very much.

Felis sivestris: I have a question.
What are difference between the crow and the raven?
I think that your pictures crow and raven are the same, but I'm not sure.

What is bird on my video from Animal Rescue Center in Makov?
It's Willow tit (Poecile montanus) or Marsh tit (Poecile palustris) with Blue tit (Cyanistes caeruleus)?

I think it's Marsh tit but not completely sure. These species are very similar and record is short.

Quite simple, the crows are much smaller! They look much the same, as the species living here, where I live in Southern Germany, Carrion Crow (Corvus corone) is completely black like the raven - Common Raven, in German Kolkrabe (Corvus corax), which does not live in my part of Germany anymore. The one on my photo is in the zoo! It's difficult to see as there are no benchmarks to see their different size. The raven is bigger than a buzzard, 54 - 67 cm long, the crows here are about 47 cm long, which is also quite big.
But a lot of people don't know this, they think the crows are ravens, I hear many people telling each other about the "ravens" around.

I have a previous photo of one of the two ravens:

Image

Unfortunately I have not made any photos where you can see the size difference, but I'll keep that in mind for the future. The ravens are a bit difficult to photograph as they have a very tight mesh in their cage and the light has to be good to eliminate this while photographing.
