I think he/she do not want an audience at all, just privacy for him/her and their little chicks. ( understandable  )

Where are the chicks? I saw all three of them walk off in the afternoon and have not yet seen them again. Maybe they stay around the corner, where the bird disappears when he's done with the cam?

I saw the chicks farther away from the cam earlier today, but have not seen them afterwards. I read in my bird guide that both parents feed them in 28 - 32 days, until they can fly, so they must be nearby.

At the seal cam one year we saw youngster Oystercatchers running along the shore with their parents I think they can walk pretty far -- almost from the get go.

I forgot :slap:

Thursday in my late afternoon walk I saw "our" osprey circling over my parents neighbourhood. Tomorrow I should go down to the river to see if they have set up in their old nest. I don't know why it would circle over a bunch of houses -- maybe it was just enjoying the thermals.

This is a photo of young turkeys my dad took just recently.

We have young great tits in a tree near our house and now one favorite past time of our cat is sitting on the table on the balcony and watch them

Not a bird, but a cat watching birds

Mine won't catch any birds, thankfully. She's a housecat, since we live on the 7th floor. If ever, it's the fault of the bird because it came behind the net in spite of the cat! But she is very curious and likes to watch them from her favourite spots. Only once for a short time she was a bit afraid as a crow was teasing/scaring her when she sat at the bedroom window. 8-)

Just remembered, some years back it was around this time of the year, one small tit sat outside on the balcony. But the danger did not come from our cat, but from my neighbours grandson, who tried to catch it from their balcony

Yes, and if it is not my cat or the neighbour, it might be someone like this:

Good-night Lussi!

A Sparrow Hawk always visits my bird feeder every now and then in the winter. I can see that he has been there when I fill the seeds in the afternoon, because the birds stay away and can not eat  I did get a picture of him,but it is a very bad one though, taken from my kitchen window with my mobile phone

The Sparrowhawk I saw, was, I think, migrating or came into the city by accident. I have not seen one before and also not since. Though I just read that they also appear in the cities more and more (I think some animals are more common in cities in the meantime, than in the country). He was sitting there for a while and flew off. I was lucky to have the camera handy and managed to make a photo.

We had quite a racket today with some crows. Don't know what they had, they kept on chasing each other around the house and they were screaming a lot. The cat already got very anxious and her tail looked like a bottle brush. But she kept on sitting on the window sill and watched what they were doing

The kids are growing up fast.

Both parents feeding at the same time, and they are really working hard.

Luckily they, and me, had the visit under control this time 8-)

Oh Lussi, that looks dangerous! Good that the nesting box is well out of the way and no branches are close by!

The small tits grow fast. Ours are already flying around, but they are so small, even with the tele it's no good. They are very small, as you can see

Yes they are very small, and they live a dangerous life on their flight out from the safety in the nest. I think the time approaching in our Blue tit home now, I heard this characterstic calling sound that the parents use to get them out today. I hope it goes well, without interference from the "well meaning" neighbour in black fur
