Useful Tools

Post by Jo UK » October 15th, 2010, 6:58 pm

Being such a multi-national group, we often need "translation" tools, such as this very useful link to a wind-speed calculator. It converts metres per second to mph - miles per hour. Many thanks to Kuremari.

Wind Speed Calculator. http://www.calculateme.com/Speed/Meters ... erHour.htm

What other tools would be helpful to us? Celsius to Farenheit, for instance.
If you find a helpful link, please post it here. Thanks.

Disabled Birding
http://www.fatbirder.com/links/signpost ... rding.html

Birding for all
"Birding For All is a relatively young organisation seeking to improve access for people with disabilities to reserves, facilities and services for birding. We have members across the world but the majority live in the UK. There is a separate chapter in the USA. When set up over a decade ago it was known as the disabled birders association but changed its name to Birding For All in 2010 in order to be more inclusive, after all there is no improvement to facilities, services or equipment designed to improve access for disabled people that makes them worse for anyone else, indeed, improvements for disabled people may well improve things for all sorts of people, young and old, of both genders and all abilities."
