Why have all the videos disappeared from everywhere on the forum ? Only a blank square appeared with a big !...
...is is only me ?
edit; Please ignore the above...my computer was having a fit of nerves because ADOBE was waiting to be renewed.
But,why had all vids gone from here
Maybe I should...

They were not my videos Jo,they were everyone's videos. Just blank squares all over where they were posted. I nearly had a kitten.Jo UK wrote:Carmel, have you recovered your videos now?

More excitement from Basel Botnical Gardens where a rare flowering of an agave americana is due to flower for the 1st time in its 50 years of existance.

The webcam is live,we shall have to keep an eye on it in th next few days;

ediit; The plant of the cactus family is 8 m high, originates from Mexico it was planted in the Botanical garden 50 years ago.It only flowers once,at the age of 40 to 60 yrs.

Thank you Jo, and thank you Macdoum! But you could have done that before too! I hope I can live up to the expectations and answer all the questions

Thanks for the trust! I think I already stopped the conversation with my first task ...

Which reminds me, Bea -
We ought to bring our discussion of big or little pics here and not take up space on the BS topic!

Felis, thanks for the reminder about picture size and numbers in one post. It has been a long time since a reminder was posted.
We used to have a Super Special topic on our nest cam forums, where larger pictures were welcome. Few members used it so we didn't add one this year.
Is anyone interested in posting super-size pics, or is it a bit late in the season to start one now - not just for black storks but for any webcam.
What do you think? Anyone?

I like the idea, because sometimes there are special pictures one would want to share and in a special place everyone who wants to see them, will find them more easy than hidden in a thread with 459 pages ...

I want as well to ask you which name you gave to n° 708T and which one to n° 708U. I didn't realize it yet.
About the discussion of posting special big pictures: I don't think it's necessary to make a new thread only for big pictures.
Why don't you post mainly the pictures which are able to be clicked on to extend it, severybody has the possibility to extend it or not. And if the picture is really worth to be extended, the one who posts it can add a notice.
Anyway, sometime somebody asked us not to post too big pictures to save place in the forum (and not beeing forced to scroll so much), haven't it been you, Jo?
Have a nice day all together!

I really like the very occasional huge picture -- especially on the Osprey nest -- they let me see things I do not usually see myself. I do not even understand how people can get such big photos.
I think a thread with the option for people to post them would be great.

Super size pics
Why not trying it? Maybe it´s a little late this season but there could be another try next season?
- - -
clickable pics
These small "clickable to enlarge" pics show nearly nothing .... When we want to make a help for those members who have a slower computer this won´t work that way, because they have to click to load a maybe very big pic again ....
I guess pics in a size of 800 x 600 are a good way and to handle for slower computers too - and there are enought details to see in good size ....
