Sauces bald eagles

A-48 lost her fifth egg yesterday afternoon. That breaks my heart, I have never seen that before.
It is so unfair.

Very sad to see ...
This can be hard on her body. Super egg laying is a problem in smaller birds and it can kill the female.
Maybe, since this is new territory...something can be thought of to help her.
Please....no more eggs a48...you are the sweetest bird on the planet ♥

B9 is finally here! The little eaglet hatched sometime in the wee hours of the morning and is currently snuggled close together with B8! It’s a cold morning at the nest, but they are keeping warm beneath mom and dad. (Great screencap by Deanna George)

Dale Hollow Lake

Dear Liz, I'm not sure that there is a hatch yet...I checked the rewind back to 2:20 > 2:31:15 and 3:35. As you watched, Mom gave a call to Dad and there were calls between them sometimes afterwards.

There is no hatch alert on Eagleholic News yet and on BCAW-Breaking news either. No photo on facebook, just a notice that a hatch might happened "Lawrence R Hite,12:09 - It looks like the 1st egg has hatched."

...so let's wait and see after sunrise.
