One week ago at ECC nest, Washington, DC

Other bird (eagle) attacked Mom Liberty sitting on her eggs

Some people think that it could be Mr. President from Arboretum nest, because he was not seen around his nest in that time.

I love these small brave owls :)

They are typical night predators, so they do what their nature leads them to do :)
There is not serious threat for big eagles, I guess... so it is really interesting to see how courageous these birds are.

P.S. of course, it is a threat to all the chicks...

Wildlife cameras can operate in complete darkness with infra-red (IR) lighting. LED illuminators provide light so the camera can operate. The light is almost invisible to the naked eye, so it doesn’t scare animals. (source: http://www.ukwildlifecameras.co.uk/cameras.html)

Berry college eagles

Both bobble heads grown nicely, but B8 is a very hard "pecker" against B9. Hopefully it will be better soon.

So sweet, B9 sleeps in Moms shadow, how peaceful.
