I have a question. Can it be possible, that we the forums from Romeo and from Harriet to separate from each other? It is else so confusing.
The nature needs us not, but we need the nature
Birdfriend,
I don't really get what you mean with your question? Can you clarify?
Actually I think it is funny to copy parts of one forum to another - but I do it this one more time, as there has been still one new eagle in Harriet's nest last night local time: http://www.hancockwildlife.org/forum/vi ... 958#815958

Owlie, I mean the posts and pictures how like Irmas and Jooseps nest and Mai and Mikk. I hope, that you can understand, what I mean.

Oh, thanks, I understand, you would like to have different threads for these two nests. I think it has worked well until now that they have been combined - most of us follow both nests and even a couple more nests. But we maybe are more followers now than last season, it will be perhaps more comments ... Maybe @ Jo UK or @ Bea has to consider it with time ... It means lot of work to separate the existing comments of each other though ... One way to make it easier could be to start new threads from beginning of this season, from 1st Sep or 1st Oct for example ...Birdfriend wrote:Owlie, I mean the posts and pictures how like Irmas and Jooseps nest and Mai and Mikk. I sent the link to this discussion to Jo UK, who has started this thread, so we will see later what she thinks.Birdfriend wrote:Yes, that is what I mean.

I think Harriet is sitting in the attic in the nest tree vocalizing now and then, and the "dirty" eagle from yesterday evening is sitting in a dead tree (the old camera tree) in the pasture
16:07
The "dirty" eagle flew to the nest and started to arrange some sticks ... Maybe he is not dirty but just a sub adult whose feathers are still brownish and not yet turned to pure white?
16:11
He flew onto the porch branch. Harriet keeps on vocalizing in the attic.

Here are a close up from the the young eagle .
On the cam side on facebook they named him Slim.
May be he get a other name later.
I have read on a post, that he could be 4-41/2 years old.
Close up before the cam was down later

Thanks, Uta!
In those pictures he looks less slim ... maybe that outlook is the reason for the name

Hello
Thank for the pics, video and updates Uta, Owlie ! Slim is a very nice young eagle
I know well, that an eagle at the age of five will mature? In this case, maybe Slim too young this year?
I am very curious about how he will behave

Thank you,Owlie.
This very informative. So is Slim rearly 4 years.
@Kinga
I think the same. May be he is to young. But good for Harriet. So she is not longer alone.
It was a fight at news today between Harriet and a other adult eagle(female)this morning, picture on facebook and the cam is down. Hope Harriet is well after the battle.
Or was it this
This video was from a other poster as a exemple.

Uta,
I didn't find any observations of a fight on SWEC Facebook or in the Forum but Harriet and Sub Adult being together on the cell tower together: http://www.hancockwildlife.org/forum/vi ... 142#816142
There has been also other eagles flying around, but according to the ground observations there would not have been any fighting ...

I found the web site in question of the battle between Harriet and another eagle:
https://www.facebook.com/David-Eppley-P ... /timeline/
It has though not been confirmed by anyone on SWFEC that Harriet was in this situation.

Still about the battle yesterday - the same photographer posted on his FB more pictures of Harriet one and two hours after the battle picture - so it maybe proves that Harriet was anyway all right after what happened.
