Eaglets are very excited this new ability. They both repeated it - it's the first step to fledge, which should take place in about a week.

Decorah Eagles nest

Sad news from Decorah. The single remaining bird from the 2014 Decorah fledglings, which remained in the wild, was electrocuted on Tuesday, March 2nd. This is the fourth eaglet from Decorah, which died from electrocution.

Since the early morning Nick and Noel perch on the branches over the nest. But they are dissapointed, because there is no reward for their bravery. The last prey (squirrel) for them was delivered yesterday in the morning.

Nick and Noel spend on on the branches most of the day.
Now they feel confident there. They fly to the nest only when food is delivered.

From cam chat:

Beautiful videos, I like to see them becoming more and more confident, to see them interacting and learning from one another, they are so cute... And it really seem to be lessons conducted by parents... so interesting how clever they are! :loveshower:

AEF-NEFL Eagles 3-4-15 Dinner & An Air Show
A little fish for dinner and then some play time - then Nick & Noel watch as Romeo & Juliet put on a bit of an air show for them - a lesson perhaps?

Awesome pictures Mamicja and Lienaliesma, thank you!
Those two Noel and Nick really are attractive to watch these days.

(I take an Alzheimer patient to a walk once a week and we always finish out meeting with checking the nest cams on my laptop. She does still remember the previous weeks and is really eager to follow our eaglets' development. Thanks nestcams! And thanks for your images!)
