Solo, balistar! Great job from you both girls. :2thumbsup:

At this time Dad brings a fresh fish (I hope not frozen  ) to his family. Jackie is very enthusiastic, calls loud.
Then Dad left again, Jackie starts to feed the chicks from this new fish. One takes some bites, the other one seems still stuffed from previous feeding. Jackie goes back to the kids.

FB comments
- Jean Galloway: Holly, to me it looked as if its talon/leg was caught in the railing and as it struggled with all its strength to itself, when it did the momentum was in the wrong direction
- Debi Y. Polston Smith: It looked like the wind may have been picking up just before his fall.
- Patti Lewis Ollendyke: Looked like it was trying to turn itself around and head back to Mom but the downward force got the best of him/her.

Oh, I am very sorry for this eaglet  . What a bad news. I would not expect it at this age. But the described "capture" at the reail seems to be probable.

Solo, thanks for your info.

OMG, that makes me very sad. I watched the video from Lolaboo two2. It seems to me, that Mom has not noticed in what for a danger her chick was. He /she was very early developed to crawl so wide from the middle of the nest to the edge at this stage. So sad.

I recorded the fall from the approach cam but I have never posted recordings of an eaglet's death and will not swerve from that. It's sad enough the little one is lost without seeing it happen)

- She was out playing for over 7 hours today while daddy took care of the kids :-)
- Am I seeing a few black dots on the BB eaglets that could be pin feathers? It looks like it's beginning to show up, yes.

 I can’t believe that the Berry chick fell and died!
So sad and sorry!
What possessed the little chick to crawl out of the nest cup?
The Berry chicks are a few days younger than the Bears.
So unfortunate, and thankfully rare.

Decorah egg!
