probably the first: Injured (?!) eagle arrives at midnight, sleeps - Trio Bald Eagles https://youtu.be/bcaqw3xBFA4
and the newest: Injured eagle wakes for 10 mins, doesn't chase mouse - Trio Bald Eagles, https://youtu.be/dN3qvasuofI

swamp5050: I received a response back from Stewards regarding this Bald, Wildlife and Fish are monitoring and say the Bald is eating and flying, if they can catch him/her for treatment they will but think it's adjusting to the injury. This is the 3rd night he/she has come to this nest, what happens if either of the Trio come in and find it there, a fight could injure this Bald even more especially if Starr is the one, she's a tough cookie. Hoping for a good outcome. (https://youtu.be/ZERBQJpY3d8 - scroll down)
OMG, thank you for sharing, Liz & Solo!
I ask me, if it possible, that this eagle maybe is Hope. Hope was the last female there, she raised two chicks last season. Later, there were intruders. She was fighting with them and never returned no more. Maybe she was heavy injured...Sadly to see this valiant eagle.

The Trio Eagles

it isn't Hope :headroll:

(today in Rescue Sation Makov, CZ - wild grey heron with one leg: https://s17.postimg.org/yus6ggnwf/Makov ... olavka.jpg)

EDIT FB page https://www.facebook.com/stewardsoftheu ... 5060318592
An eagle with a leg injury has arrived like clock work each evening after sunset for the last three nights. USFWS Officials monitor but cannot do anything at the moment for an eagle capable of flying so well. Please know as viewers although you have the privilege of looking in, there are always researchers and officials monitoring. This morning a Valor arrived just as the visitor took off. Valor made noise but did not chase. Bonnie

Stewards of the Upper Mississippi River Refuge: It is not Hope ...

Stewards of the Upper Mississippi River Refuge: ... We have hundreds of migratory eagles in the area. It is more likely a travel in need of rest. It has slept well all three nights.

Many thanks, Solo!

...and this grey heron  It is very impressive to me, how these injured birds or other animals can manage their life so good (balance, searching for food, can fly and land or go, run etc.)

 Injured Eagle at Trio Nest!
I hope that it is able to live as “normal” a life, with only one foot!

Big Bear, what a nice breakfast fish picture from Saturday!
She really deserved it! It’s very, very cold in Big Bear, but at least the wind isn’t blowing!

Lolaboo two2: Starr is the last one to leave the nest this evening. A few minuets after she leaves the injured eagle arrives but only for a moment. He must see Starr heading back to the nest so he hops across the nest and takes off.
Visitor is chased off by Starr - 01-20-18 https://youtu.be/pij0cIdHP_o (by Loalboo two2)

(I think, this injured eagle was last time on this nest 20.01.2018  )

Yes, they are more and more on the nest. The egg laying comes closer, normally at the end of January. Hopefully it will a successful clutch this season. They have deserved it so much. :help:

TRIO EAGLE NEST

Suzzi 17 hours ago ... Starr could decimate her...injured eagle would not stand a chance. It was interesting however, that the injured eagle attempted to land on the nest with Starr there. I saw 2 attempts...could have been more. Hearing her vocalizing in the background sounded like she was in distress. Oh, how I grieve for this eagle in moments like this. Starr on the nest tree branch now sleeping.

Lady Hawk 16 hours ago I think it would be the right thing if they did see this eagle in distress on the ground to go in and capture it. It would have a better life as an ambassador and maybe even get to be a surrogate mom or dad. ♥♥

(source: https://youtu.be/8l6JjxlFwP4)

I hope for the best for this (injured) eagle  :headroll:
