Blair, Wisconsin: Last season our first on camera view of Blair was September 19th.
This morning, Blair landed on the side branch and stayed for a brief visit.

For those that are new to watching this nest, Blair is the female at our nest.

There is a new male this season and for now we are calling NM or new male.

There is more information about the project in the "Project Info" tab in the navigation bar on our web page.

E-mail from "Friends of the National Arboretum" - place where 2 eaglets (Freedom and Liberty) fledged from the nest of Mr. President and The First Lady

Getting Ready For The Return of the Eagles

This fall preparations were made for the eagles return next spring. There was concern that two limbs instead of the usual three supported the nest. Through a partnership of The American Eagle Foundation, US Fish and Wildlife, and The Excel Tree Company, the two giant limbs supporting the nest were reinforced with a third artificial limb. We are now all anticipating the return of the eagles in late winter and a resumption of the live eagle cam.

FONA's mission is to support the US National Arboretum (USNA) and ensure that the eagles will always have a serene and beautiful oasis to call home. You can help...
