:loveshower: You all saw the newest baby before I did! The younger one is closest to the cam in this pic.

The two chicks are fed by Mama. The younger one does not quite know how to feed, yet, but it does give a bit of a try. Mama does not ignore it & is offering food. They are cute little fluff-balls!

Dad comes to the nest as darkness falls & wants to babysit or be close with his family, but Mama won't let him take over. Finally, he flies to an overhead branch to spend the night. (Very looooong video.)

Mama awakens briefly & re-positions herself when the chicks make noise.

And they will grow so fast! I'm glad the second was born only a day after the first, so they will be more nearly the same developmental stage & the younger will compete for food well. I hope the third is hatched soon, too, but I don't know what date is projected for this.

Nice picture, Bleggi, & also nice video of the little ones eating, Venegor. Thanks you for sharing them. These are photos I intended to share when I took them, at sunset on 27 March. Somehow I forgot to post them, so here they are now. I thought the pink sunset light on the mother eagle was nice.

The chicks get a meal. The elder abuses the younger one, pecking its head. But Mama offers food to both.

Local USA time = 19:15 pm

When I see how the olderst eaglet take on the youngest, and they are almost same size, I almost hope that the third egg is not hatching..
They are very cute though..

Thank you Venegor, Bleggi and Kitty for your beautiful pictures and videos...
I have a couple of pictures from yesterday evening ( my local time )
- Feeding at the Sooner nest. I think the eaglet has grown, isn't the black feathers starting to show??

- wing streching at Vian:

The eaglet in the Sooner nest does look bigger & darker, so perhaps it is beginning to get the dark tips of feathers coming out.

Mother Decorah was feeding her eaglets. She made sure that both got some. She is so careful, it's so nice to look at. I wonder If there are cracks in the third egg, or just dirt :puzzled:

- the piece was to large for the eaglets..
