- The nest must be huge, it's mum and three grown eaglets at home and they have pretty good space.

I can't help it, but I wonder If Kitty is ok ...

:hi: Lussi, I am OK! I just have not been on much, only peeked from time to time as I was too tired to get on the computer much the past week or so-- also, my husband has been using the computer for business so I did not have as many chances to use it when I was awake.

Tonight, I looked at the Decorah eaglets, & they are sleeping so hard, they are "dead to the world." They are getting so big. It will not be too long & they will begin to fly out of the nest onto the branches.

The eaglets are getting nearly as big as their parents! Mom feeds some fish to one big chick.

Local USA time = about 13:20 pm.

Even Mom is drowsy on this windy afternoon. One eaglet sneezes, & another seems to have fallen asleep as it was playing with a stick-- the stick is clutched in its yellow foot, & its beak is draped over the other end.

Recorded 18:30 26 May, USA time.

A parent brought a large fish, a sucker or bullhead, to the nest, & one very quick eaglet snatched it away & refused to share with anyone. The other parent brought a nice brown trout & fed the two other eaglets.

It happened to me that I met the cam and somebody was just working with it. So I took this pictures:
Image Image :hi:

I did not look often to the eagles because there were others who took pics here. I am watching some other cams and are on the way at the moment very often.
Greetings Bleggi

:loveshower: Beautiful, Bleggi! You got some lucky views there.

We have so many cams to look at this season that it makes it hard to see everything we might like to see. Right now, I am looking at the baby piglets in Spain at the Mangolink cam. They are so cute. They lie down to eat. :D

Beautiful pictures and videos Kitty and Bleggi
Kitty you are right. It is so many great cams and beautiful birds, so it's almost impossible to follow all..
The eaglets have grown so big. Soon they will leave the nest. I have to say that I am so impressed by the Decorah mum and dad. They have brought up these three beautiful eaglets in such a nice way..

- Flying practice. They makes me a bit nervous. It looks as if they are going to jump right out of the nest

Soon we will be only seeing them in the branches, Lussi!

I have not looked at the Sooner nest for a long time. The eaglet there is very grown up now. I don't know if it has been flying, yet. Here it is sitting on the edge of the nest as the wind blows its wing feathers. Something round & hard looking is in the nest-- a turtle shell??? Do they eat turtles? :puzzled:

Videos made from 19:05 to 19:25 local USA time (CDT).

An eaglet lounges in the nest & wags its tail. Another does the same a bit later. Wings are spread to cool off. In the background, a mourning dove sings, & at the underside of the nest, a small bird goes in & out to its own nest.

The eldest eaglet is getting eager to fly. The birds are playing with objects in the nest, old corn husks & sticks. Two begin a tug-of-war with a large stick.

Eldest eaglet squeals & does wing practice. It lands on the angled trunk/branch of the cottonwood tree, as if to crawl up it.

1:42am local USA time (EDT)--The eglaets are awake in the middle of the night. Ants go up the branch, & a toad trills it small song somewhere on the ground.

The dominant one just finished off an entire fish & did not share. The two siblings squealed & begged but to no avail. Now one picks about for whatever may be left over. The starling, so small seen near the eaglets, goes into & out of its nest below the eagles' platform.

19:45 local USA time (CDT)

Edit, 4:16--

Not branching, exactly, more like "trunking," as one eaglet hops on & off the tree trunk.

The others will probably branch very soon, too. :loveshower:

The Decorah Eagle cam is still open for a few days. The eaglets fly well now, but still hang around the nest tree hoping for their parents to deliver food.

Two eaglets land in the nest & are very excited for some reason. Perhaps the other eaglet got a fish delivered to it by a parent, & these two thought the food would be put in the nest bowl.
