Emoyeni and her eaglet sleep very near the rock side of the nest.
The baby is in the deepening at Mum' side.

Hope that tomorrow is a good day with successful hunt with enough food for the family.

Does one have be worried? :puzzled:
I've read, the best time to hunt Dassies (Hyrax) is in the morning when they bask in the sun to warm up.

Emoyeni is calling!
Unfortunately, you can not hear anything, the microphone seems to be too far away.

... 15:30 Sad.
Eaglet in the nest alone and wails to herself ..
The parents can not find food? :puzzled:

The page could not be accessed for some time today.
It is because of "high traffic" and "We are working to manage this"

Emoyeni and her eaglet sleep now.
So today was not a happy day for the Eagle family.
It was seen no feeding, no prey seen in the nest.
We know nothing...
Time will tell...

:offtobed: Good Night all

Good Morning, October 15

This chick is alone at home. Mum flew away very early today.
Image

Thulane was just shortly visiting the nest. Image

The chick today alone for long time.
It often calls and looks around, looks out to his parents.

I am surprised that the chick is so active and kicking. :puzzled:

edit: 10:30 The chick whines constantly.
Whence it only takes the power for it?
To see better in fullscreen.

:hi: Ferenz

The same procedure as yesterday
Mum repeatedly leaves the nest, but will be back soon

At 13:03: Dad, followed closely by Mum flying to the nest.
(I suspect Emoyeni is always near the nest, watching...)
Image

But it is no food in Thulane's Talons

Thanks, Black swan!
I don´t watch constantly and never saw a feeding "live".
Well, the eaglet is still small and doesn´t need lots of food, but the amount of food it needs will still increase.

Yes , Bea , I'm just wondering where the chick takes this life force ? :puzzled:
Today I saw very briefly in fullscreen , like mum something was stuck in Baby's beak.
The chick snapped like crazy.
There is not in resignation.
But this I know from other animals in that situation.

Mum is flying off and on
...streching (I also saw preening today)

Maybe it gets more food in the early morning hours, it doesn´t look starving - look at your last pic ....

Bea, I'm also confused.
But there is a chat (with strange people). There is also a topic.
No one has seen feeding.

14:28 Mum brings a green twig :whistling:
