Today, Both kids are 11 weeks old and can fledge any minute now.
Most of the time, nest looks empty, but we see them on upper branch or on the perch broken trunks.
They exercised a lot and are branching, jumping, hovering and screening like all healthy eaglets :thumbs

E11 did not welcome E10, when he came back, E11 tried to peck sibling. Eaglets calmed down, when lunch (fish) was brought. Later they peacefully were resting together.

E11 has fledged! Taking its first flight around the pasture and returning to a nearby tree like a pro!
To see video, scroll back on the live stream to just before 8am. Video coming shortly! (Photo by Anja Edelman) http://www.SWFLEagleCam.com
Both eaglets fly to the tree nearby the nest tree and sit together on branches - they are having fun
One of the eaglets returns to the nest where Harriet is waiting with a fish.

Just in the moment both parents are in the nest and eating each their prey. And E10 is screaming/begging behind and among them. Is it supposed to be a lesson for the eaglet - in order to learn stealing food? Anyway, E10 did not learn to steal this time but left for attic
E11 should be hungry by now, still perching in the front pine ...

A funny scene
Kids are flying around, coming and going
Both parents, the "old" couple, are alone in the "empty nest" : digging for gold, or perhaps for an old fish bone, eating quietly the rest of kids lunch.
Life is wonderful

E11 fledge
Departure
and return
Thanks Mamicja
I think I was wrong, the eaglet begging from both eating parents must have been E11, not E 10. Both have been flying today from and to the nest. Who ever, they seem to enjoy the new element, the freedom in the air. Not even food necessarily call them back to the nest from their adventures.

I watched the events live and it was very hard to see E11 falling while landing, because she was chased by ravens.
Here is an excellent video, taken from the church side, which describes the events better than seen on nest cam.
It was taken by wskrsnwings
Enjoy !

E10 fledged 2 days before and was also having a bad landing, but continued and landed on the Dead Tree which was the favorite place of E9, our favorite eaglet last season.
You can watch E10 on this video.
I don't know who is this lady, but she gives us wonderful videos of this nest from a different angle.

wskrsnwings (Vicky O) is always (full time?) on call on the ground and reports with her awesome videos on the Hancock Wildlife Forum (https://forum.hancockwildlife.org/viewt ... ilit=SWFEC). She is a sort of godmother to this nest, Harriet and M15 - before Harriet and Ozzie. (I have no idea whether she is paid by someone, somehow she must finance her almost daily duties ...)Abigyl wrote:...
