Re: Winter Feeding Ground Cameras.
Hello
Don't worry I will eventually get to actualy SEE the cam.
Today, I got 'too many retries' a few times !!
Meanwhile there is entertainment just across from the kitchen window here. Husband noticed curious behaviour
in the bush near one of our winter feeding trays. A titmouse was jumping from branch to branch waiting his turn....and he kept swinging upsidedown....? When he finally got there we saw the poor bird has only one leg....My My .
He hopped round finding OPENED sunflower-seeds.Then flew off with one. Question .how can he open it ?
From today we put out other smaller seeds..and those balls of fat with grains. So far he is doing well.
Only garden stories from me today , but reading your posts with pleasure.
Tell me if we should do more for the Tit, please.

Hallo again Macdoum
the webcam has suffered from the very bad weather there. As soon as it is possible for people to drive to the forest - roads blocked, tress down, deep snow, - someone will go there to sort out the problem. It seems that it is physically impossible to get to where the webcam is, today.
If there is a thaw soon, we can admire the view again.
A one-legged tit, upside down? I don't knw what more you can do, but someone here will have suggestions, I am sure.

macdoum, my thought is that if he is healthy enough to hop around and is doing well, as you say, that you should not interfere.macdoum wrote:A titmouse was jumping from branch to branch waiting his turn....and he kept swinging upsidedown....? Are there people near you who do rehabilitation of wild birds? Perhaps they will have some advice for you. Let us know!

We shall have to be patient for a few days. Several things have happened to disrupt the normal activities of the webcams, the forums and the people who look after it all.
Mostly, that storm has put a stop to normal movement around the country, so no-one can get to the webcam yet.
Another separate hitch, is that this forum software was upgraded yesterday, and that is giving our webmaster a few headaches while he finds and fixes things. This applies to things like anonymous users seeing, or not seeing links and posts that will be normal for them when things are corrected. The links on the Looduskalender web page will be more obvious and easier to link from there to here.
What games shall we play, while we wait.?
Taking pics through firmy closed windows seems favourite!

Nov.25, 13:21, this is quite a snowy picture of eagle's place! Just a single crow flying on the right
screen! Hope everybody survives! It is chilly even in Florida - +17C !
14:00 ,at least a whole bunch of ravens have arrived! Not much to eat, but lots of noise.

Welcome Vaino.
Welcome BobWoodcock.
Bob, if you have some black stork pics, do you want to post here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8
or would it be better to start a new thread, as there is not much of 2008 left.

Welcome vaino and Bob!
I vote to have a new thread where we (Bob, unp, everyone) can post pictures and links that are not directly related to the Estonian cameras.Jo UK wrote:Bob, if you have some black stork pics, do you want to post here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8

We found lots of good links and pictures last season, hopefully we can place them in that thread as a resource. Plus use it as a SHOWplace for Bob's wonderful pictures.
