I think there are 8 eagles in the tree, but maybe one is a "fake" or "tree eagle." The "one" just below the top. Is it a real eagle or not?

I enlarged my own capture and I cannot tell.

And this just after at least some of them came back down from the trees.

It's hard to say for sure. It might be an eagle lurking behind that topmost branch. :puzzled:

This I clicked too soon. I swear, this youngster jumped and then hit the adult eagle with its talons.

The eagle on the left that is just beginning to move in this capture, jumped and hit the eagle nearest to it with its paws -- I really think that is what I saw :slap:

A beautiful dark-feathered young eagle has a chance at the meat.

OOPs, :slap: wrong video, something went awry. I'll try to find the right one.

Edit, 10:10-- No, I seem to have lost it somehow. I cannot find it.

This youngster ran along the ground to the food and as it arrived it opened its wings to make sure no one else could sneak up on it.

More action
I think this youngster must be hungry because it does not like to share at all.

And now I saw an eagle reach out and grab a big piece of meat and again all I could do was stare -- no clicking. The eagle flew off with its meal.

I am going to have a quick tour of the other cams, then I will log off & head off to bed. There is a lot of eagle activity today, so I know everyone will have a great time watching. Goodnight / Good day, everyone. I'll enjoy all your pictures & movies when I come back in a few hours.

Edit-- But as I get ready to leave, I see the eagle is pullling on the meat block & was able to move it. I think it is soon time for new food!
