Hello Elar. Have a nice time here.

yes, the most interesting time is unfortunately past in front of this camera.

The RD is very very hungry. He eats the skin, with the hair like today in the morning:

Nr. 2

and the Nr. 3.

Night time glow

---------------------------------------------------
:hi:
Good Morning

I think the ravens just woke. They were flying about and squawking and now suddenly it is silent (well some little birds are chirping quietly).

Eagle! That is what had them stirred up. :D It looked around, then flew up to the tall pine tree at the back.

First, these came:

Ravens arrived to glean whatever they can find-- bits of leftover food, boar hair for nests, anything that seems useful or interesting.

A disagreement about raven rights!

And then, this:

A white-tailed eagle arrived to see what was available. (Video repeats part of above one, & will be trimmed to only the part with the eagle soon.)

These two are really busy digging into the old carcass. They look like they are digging a badger hole!

I am pretty sure I did not see the eagle, but I was wondering if an eagle was about -- maybe I heard a call?

As to that carcass at the right side. It almost seems like it was a bit buried. The ravens are definitely stepping down into a hole to get food from it. Maybe that is why it has lasted so long.

:puzzled: My Nova screen went black for a few moments & then came back on but without sound. Do you have sound, Alice?

There is still something to get in the old boar skull.

Nope no sound, and I did have to refresh to get the screen back but that happens every now and then.

It must be something at the Nova cam, because I went to the Decorah Eagle site, which also uses flash player, & sound is fine there.

Well, I think I will log off for the night. Still no sound at the Nova cam. The sky is darkening as if it may rain or snow later, & I don't see any visitors now. Enjoy the cam today even if no sound, also the Kasmu & Kotkas cams are working fine, as is the Toidumaja one. (And there is the bald eagle cam in Decorah-- the first egg is due to hatch any day now. It is night now & it does have night vision camera. Also the goose cam in California has night vision.) So Goodnight / Good day, everyone. I am :offtobed:

 Good morning!
(every morning with cam continuing now is a bonus day ...)

Technical problems on the hardware side might get some push from spring weather: just a guess, but temperatures changing over the day, freeze-thaw cycles, snow melting, air with more moisture than in winter creeping in etc.
Waterproofed, certainly, but there are limits.

(And sometimes very small hardware problems behave like software problems)

All things considered, the whole very complicated and sophisticated set-up has worked extremely well. Technology is wonderful, sometimes :innocent:
