Re: Eagles Winter Feeding Ground 2012
5 on the ground and three in the tree!
one is right on the upper rim of the picture.
EDIT: i took another look at the video. there are 5 eagles on the ground and at least 4 in the tree, maybe even a 5th eagle in the tree. i've marked certain individuals here in this picture with orange and the branch where there are two eagles with red. the second lands behind the first in the end of the video. i'm not sure whether there's yet another eagle in the blue circle...?

You are all doing a wonderful job of recording this active, snowy day for us.
I think Mutikluti will be abck in about 30 minutes. Someone else has been doing the camera.

i think there's Santa's eagle on the left....
...at least someone from Lapland if not the same bird as on Friday. it's here on the right, taking off.

i think this is the same Santa's eagle as earlier: it wears black ocer red on the left ankle. too bad it is a bit older and wiser than the kids: it stays aside from the heat of the battle and will not get zoomed at.

i kind of like this eaglet. she (! i think it must be a girl ) has sort of Sulli-attitude: she's monopolizing all the food and about half a dozen other birds will have to wait till she's finished.

they all vanished except one... i think there was a warning call by a crow?
then B279 managed to drive the unringed young one away. very poor visibility though... in snapshots it is impossible to read the numbers but i think in the video there's a dash of it.

edit: The eagles are still fighting for the food...I think the Buzzard who usually comes at the end of the day are waiting impatient now

It's time to finish for today. There seemed to be 13 eagles at the same time from camera...some on the ground and some in the nearest tree...but I'm sure that there was them more...others were in hide in the trees around the feeding place.
Bye-bye...see you tomorrow morning again!
